I think the thermostat is broken!

Day before yesterday the temperature got to 110. Yesterday was a bit milder, BUT today it got down to 55! That is a 55 degree drop in two days! Tomorrow it is supposed to be cool also but then it is expected to head back towards 100. We're adapting to the heat, we "work" outside for a couple of hours in the morning and then retreat to air conditioned spaces for the remainder of the day. We are able to enjoy sitting under our awning and enjoying the evenings. The sunsets are gorgeous and the flowers are spectacular. Yesterday we awoke to find a small cactus in our back yard covered in beautiful white flowers tinged with violet. By evening the blossoms had closed up and this morning those blooms are gone, their stalks bent over and withering away. A few new blooms had appeared but they too will be gone by tomorrow. The desert produces some interesting survival challenges! The saguaros are in bloom now, the tips of their arms are covered with stalks having a beautiful white flower. They remind me of Bart Simpson's haircut.

The motor home is now parked out in front, ready to go in for service tomorrow morning. It is time to start packing for a summer away from here
