Les Trois Tetons

Grand Teton National Park, no foothills, the Tetons just thrust up from the surface. The range is only about fifty-five miles in length but it is impressive. There are twelve peaks above 12,000 feet and Grand Teton is 13,770 feet. These peaks absolutely dominate the landscape. This picture is taken from the banks of the Snake River, no fish but what a place to fish! The bears like this spot, too, or so the signs advertise.
We had two days in the Tetons and had a chance to see the park and lots of animals. We left there this morning after stopping at the launderette to take care of necessities. Now we are in Jackson for two days before we head for Creede, Colorado.
Jackson, Wyoming is a very picturesque town, very much tourist oriented. We are taking a raft trip this evening but it is not supposed to be white water. We will float about 13 miles of river and then have a steak dinner, really roughing it. There is much to see here and tomorrow we will try and see all we can. It is also a chance to get the motor home serviced. Speaking of motor home, everything seems to working well, we have had no problems. We hope that continues.
